Anna Silk

Anna Silk, born January 31st, 1974 in Fredericton, New Brunswick Canada, is an actor most well-known for her role as Bo in The Showcase Series Lost Girl. Silk was a native of Fredericton in New Brunswick, Canada. Ilkay Silk is the daughter of Peter who was an academic, and Peter Silk, who was an actor and director. He was also a playwright, educator, as well as Director of Drama at St. Thomas University. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Anna recalls her first memories when she was at rehearsals for play with her mom. Silk was a small model in a commercial. Her Bachelor of Arts was conferred by St. Thomas University, 1997. Theatre St. Thomas produced two of its first productions: Seven Menus, and The Kitchen. Silk made the move to Toronto for further development of her acting profession in November 1999, and during the decade that followed, she relocated to Los Angeles California. Seth Cooperman became her husband in 2007 when they met at an actor's' Workshop located in Los Angeles. They were engaged in 2009, and were married in a civil ceremony in December of that year. In April of 2011, they renewed their vows at a Jewish ceremony in Fredericton after she converted to Judaism. Silk Cooperman had her first child Samuel Jerome Cooperman May 2013 Levi Aaron, Silk's second baby boy was born in the month of May in 2016. Silk has a number of television roles, including Cassidy Holland from Being Erica. The actress was nominated to win Gemini Awards in 2009 to play this character. Her most notable role was in the role of Bo Dennis, a succubus as seen on the television show Lost Girl. Silk was pregnant during production of the season three finale, and revealed this to the viewers during the Showcase's Season Three Pre-Show Special on the 6th of January, 2013. Silk announced on Twitter June 20th that the show would return in the production. Fourth season premiered on June 4th 2013 by Showcase and Prodigy Pictures. Her portrayal of Bo along with Lauren (Zoie Palmer) as same-sex lovers in the show Lost Girl was named one of the all-time Top TV Couples from CNN (Cable News Network) as well as named the top TV Couple of 2013. The same was done by E! Entertainment Television. Silk, as a result its growing popularity on social networks has grown to a huge internet following.
